vehicle description:

Reluctantly selling our 2006 Renault Grand Espace Initiale. Only selling as we no longer need a vehicle of this size. We"ve owned it for over 3 years and other than wear and tear consumables(new battery, tyres etc)its been completely reliable. I spent a long time searching for the right car and this spec which is the most desirable combination being the top of the range and having the best engine which is the 175bhp 2.0 DCi. This engine replaced the dated and unreliable 2.2 version, and the 2.0 has virtually the same bhp output as the 3.0 litre diesel, whilst being a lot more economical. These engines are bullet proof, and will comfortably exceed the 200k miles mark, and being chain driven, there is no expensive cambelt service to endure or the worry of the cambelt snapping. On a long run a late thirties mpg figure can be achieved which given its size is excellent.
This is a really well thought out and designed MPV and very comfortable, which is one of the few cars that can carry 7 adult passengers and their luggage. Being the stretched Grand version the interior accommodation is massive which also has a good size boot. As I eluded to earlier, being the Initiale the spec is huge, sat nav, electric everything(everything works), xenon headlights, heated leather interior, pan roof, dual zone climate control, blinds, factory privacy glass, 18 alloys which were a factory option, CD multi changer, Bluetooth etc etc.
Average mileage about 122200, this car has been very well maintained all its life, think you"d be hard pressed to find an Espace that has been better maintained. There are 12 stamps in the book, the majority being at Renault dealers. In addition its worth pointing out that upto 110k the miles covered were motorway miles.
There are no known mechanicals issues, no warning lights or errors/warnings on the computer.
It has along MoT, April 2017.
Two new front tyres were fitted a few months ago.
Just a couple of things I"d like to make you aware of which I consider to be superficial
There is an intermittent issue with the parking sensors, so we have them turned off, not an issue really.
The pan roof has become slighty noisy in operation, a common problem, it could be just a case of it the runners needing lubricating, so we don"t tend to use it .
The drivers mirror is broken, this doesn"t impact on the MoT, I just never got around to replacing it.
Comes with two key fobs.
Overall I would consider the body work to be in very good condition, bear in mind its a 10 year old car so there are some scratches, stone chips etc.
