For sale, our wonderful, remarkably low, genuine mileage, go anywhere in any weather, extremely civilised, luxury Lexus 2002 model year RX300 family SUV. It really does it all in style and comfort, without being and feeling big and cumbersome as the full sized 4x4 barges do.
I speak from experience. If you are looking at say a Landrover Freelander, Jeep or for that matter, any other 4x4 SUV or Soft Roader in the same price range, then stop immediately and light a candle to give thanks that you have almost certainly avoided a financial disaster and world of stress.   
This terrific car has been a great family SUV for us and has done everything asked of it brilliantly. Having said that, it has not been off-roaded, run on the beach or even seen winter salt, as over the last few years we just haven"t seen any snow. We tend to use other Lexus LS models on a day to day basis and so, put the miles on those instead. So, our RX300 has tended to be a back-up that we can totally rely on, anytime. Consequently, we have looked after it to make sure that it is 120% reliable. It has full service history, with many more services over the years than Lexus require for the mileage, along with very recent cam belt & idler pulley, water pump, brake calipers/pads/discs and gearbox & transmission oils & filter changes, services and more that I forget, to keep it absolutely tip top.The tyres are very good on almost unmarked alloy wheels and everything works as it should.
There is even a DVD player under the boot floor with hinge down screen for the rear seats and headphone sets to keep the younger (and older) ones happy on even the longest of trips.
There are no untoward noises, wobbles or whines at motorway speeds and this luxury family SUV just wafts you along in your heated, electric leather seat, in climate controlled comfort with the minimum of effort on cruise control. It allows you to not only travel cross country but also, across several countries at a time and tell you how to do it with the sat nav built in. 
Our Lexus RX300 strictly only requires its next MOT test at end September 2015, but can go to its new owner with a new 12 months MOT for peace of mind all round, if required.
This RX300 has the extra benefit of not even being run-in yet as cars in this price range usually have covered 50,000 to 150,000 miles more.
