Pint of Vodka and stick a brolly in it eh! That is possibly the only realistic description and reason for sticking a bike engine into a Reliant Rialto I can come up with. That and I got bored one day and had an 1987 plastic rat and a 2001 Yamaha Fazer 1000 sitting around the workshop minding their own business.
So lets get down to it, The hard graft has been done, the engine has been mounted in and plumbed up. The engine has been mated to the old gearbox which now acts as a transfer box which gives the vehicle a combined 24 forward gears and 6 reverse! The engine runs and the car drives. With the transfer box layout you get a reverse which a lot of bike engined cars don"t have and a speedo drive for the original speedo so no worries there, it also allows you to choose ratios for forward be it straight through drive in transfer fourth or ridiculously low ratio first.
To do list isn"t that long really. The bulkhead needs making, a gear shift mechanism needs fabricating, and a few other bibs and bobs.
So there you have it an unfinished project just waiting to be finished.
On that basis the Reliant is sold on an as is basis as it is an unfinished project/spares or repair and does require further work to complete. No warranty is given or implied.
V5 is present and in my name.
No you can"t drive it home! I would advise a trailer or some other form of recovery device or a van wide enough to fit it in (it"s 151cm wide to edge of tyres and 345cm long from nose to end of towbar (yes it even has a towbar!!!) )
No Reserve, 1p start, no buy it now and the auction will run to the end so highest bidder gets it. Cash on collection only.
If you cannot transport it then please don"t bother bidding!
