1999 Reliant Robin MK2 - with a few reversible modifications
A very well cared for Robin, with around 39 service receipts having been serviced approximately every 500miles. I have never owned a car with so much service history.
4 Previous Owners with the previous gentlemen owning it for 17 years.
Mechanics -
Good condition, drives well, it has electronic ignition fitted and starts on the button with a small amount of choke.
I have recently replaced all Brake Shoes, Shock Absorbers and Engine Bushes.
Body -
No Damage to the fibreglass body, however it has had an amateur respray in the past in Rover Tahiti Blue, which is very slightly darker than the original colour. Although the original paint code is 99 which is correct with Tahiti Blue
The paint does have micro blistering and cracking mainly on the bonnet, roof and boot ( please see close up photo) so please take this into consideration when bidding. It looks ok from a distance but is not a show winner.
The Union Flag Stickers on the roof are removable , however I can not guarantee the condition of the paint underneath.
Interior -
I have fitted bucket seats from a Westerham kit car, as I"m 6"2 these are far more comfortable, and to match these I have fitted MK1 black seats in the rear.
I have the original seats which are in quite good condition, if you would like these then they will be free with the car, and can be easily refitted.
The drivers window winder is worn , and I have a replacement one to go with the car.
The rear parcel shelf has been recovered but is not the best job.
Wheels -
Front wheel is the original steel one with a fairly new tyre , the rear two are Minilite style wheels which have good tread but are older and lose air, so I would suggest replacing these, so please take this into consideration when bidding.
I also have the original 2 steel wheels with legal tyres that do hold air, which are free with the car if you would like them.
I have tried to be as honest as possible, but please remember this is a 21 year old Robin which drives well but has paint problems.
