“Not pretty but reliable. Matt black paint over blue, no spare wheel, speedo not working - believed new cable needed.Slight petrol weep if you fill the tank to the brim - tank sensor gasket not 100% but easily accessible. Can't guarantee the mileage.”

This was one of 3 Reliant Robins we bought for a charity fund raising journey from Hertfordshire to the Highest paved road in Europe - the Col de la Bonette in France, south of Briancon. If you want detail of the journey see www.facebook.com/Tourdelard2 We did it and this car was the best runner even if not the best looker. Cruises at 50-55, top speed 65-70 if you want. Solid as a rock to drive and didn"t use water or oil in nearly 1800 miles in early July in temperatures reaching 42 degrees at one point.It was fully prepped but has no spare wheel as we had some communal spares to save weight. We also removed the thermostat in view of the heat and the heights climbed. You can buy with the charity stickers if you want or I will remove them but can"t guarantee that the black paint won"t be removed too.On the last day back the speedo stopped working. It hasn"t disconnected so suspect a broken cable.
New parts fitted: All aluminium radiator, hoses, three new tyres, brake shoes all round, new exhaust (though it sounds sporty still), rear prop shaft u joint, engine/gearbox mounts.
It also comes with approaching £200.00 worth of sparesNew: Rocker cover gasket, prop shaft u joint, clutch cable, fan belt, engine/gear box mounts, brake shoes (rear), throttle cable, distributor cap, exhaust gasket, thermostat gasket, oil pressure switch,Used: Water pump, alternator, fuel pump, clutch assembly (not thrust bearing), toilet roll for mountain hairpin bends, two springs and hangers, front and rear screens, bonnet lid, bumper, misc light units and similar odds and sods.We have so far raised over £21,000.00 for the children"s charity we chose and the proceeds from this sale will be given to it as well.
