2006 Renault Megane coupe convertible 1.6 VVTi 5 speed manual with 88k on the clock. We have owned this car since Feb 2014 and have serviced and maintained it thoroughly in that time. The car is a very stylish looking coupe that gives the best of both worlds by being a hard top coupe (with Karman panoramic glass roof) which works perfectly and folds away at the flick of a switch to become an open topped car for those wind in the hair days! Very clean throughout with metallic silver bodywork that is pretty straight all round with just a few minute parking dings here and there but nothing immediately noticeable. The paintwork is in very good condition throughout with no rust or other blemishes and polishes up very well. The alloy wheels are also in great condition and the tyres are good with lots of tread left on them. The interior is also in great condition with just a tiny burn mark (from the previous owner) in the back seat to deviate from being more or less perfect. The engine is excellent; smooth with no undue noises and runs quietly and evenly pulling well through the slick and positive 5 speed box. The clutch was replaced 6 months ago so has years left in it yet and the brakes are keen and bring the car to a stop cleanly with no judders. There is a fully stamped up service history from new to 73 k and two private services since. The car has had very recent work mainly on the suspension which includes, bushes replaced on both sides, a ball joint replaced on the passenger side and a new coil spring and shock absorber fitted on the drivers side (damn speed bumps!) Other recent work includes 2 new coil packs, four spark plugs – oh, and a new battery. The car has electric windows all round, electric roof, electric mirrors, keyless entry and start (with a card) rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, a great stereo with radio and cd player with controls on the steering column. There is powered progressive steering (light when parking and heavy at speed) abs, traction control, air-con, push button starter - the list goes on.  There are no warning lights on the dash and everything works as it should (the air con could be colder so may need a re-gas at some point in the future). There are only 2 previous owners and the car comes with a spare key card. The boot is absolutely enormous with the roof up and even when it’s down you can still get a few bags of shopping in there! The car carries a Euro ncap 5 star safety rating which is good for the peace of mind. There are only 2 points that I must bring to any prospective buyers notice. The car roof wasn’t used over the winter and when I’ve come to drop it for the photographs I found the passenger side rear window and a small cowling behind the rear headrests was stuck in the closed position so I’ll try to get that sorted before anyone buys it – probably needs a squirt of WD40 (it doesn’t affect the roof operation incidentally). So an honest and straight car with a current mot which is ready to be enjoyed (especially in summer if we get one) and any inspection is welcomed (by appointment). I work from home so the car can be viewed at almost any time at my house in Horwich (between Bolton and Chorley.) There is a starting price but no reserve and no buy it now price.
