Find out where we are Ideal for someone to move forward with a small amount of work, The Rolls Royce Silver Spirit has been rising in price over the last two years after the Shadow its predecessor has shot through the roof in value, this will be the next car to do the same and this is a great example to start with, with all vehicles of this age she has good points and bad points, luckily the good far outways the bad but I will explain both,
The Silver Spirit, introduced by Rolls-Royce in 1980, was the first of a new generation of models for the company. It formed the basis for the Flying Spur, Silver Dawn, Touring Limousine, Park Ward and apart from branding differences and a different radiator housing also Bentley for the Mulsanne/Eight series.
The Spirit/Spur was not entirely new – it continued to use the basic design of the Silver Shadow as well as that motor car"s 6.75 L (6750 cc/411 in³) V8 engine and GM sourced THM 400 3-speed automatic transmission. The Spur / Spirit continued the emphasis toward a high degree of ride quality by utilising the self-leveling suspension from the previous model Silver Shadow, though in this application using a Girling automatic hydraulic ride height control system and gas-charged shock absorbers.
The main points that would need attention are around the body, some paintwork has been done before and not to the best of quality, Im more than happy to walk around the car either on the phone or personally with any potential buyer, Inside is lovely Ox Blood leather has been refurbished, the wood is great as is the dash, the odometer has stopped working however its been stored so as far as I can see its not travelled many miles since, MOT until 14 July 2017, a great car to own as she drives very well, Viewing is recommended although she is old she is solid.
