massive history file. As photed.
Up until a few weeks ago it was in daily use. It just stalled on tick over at some traffic lights. I didnt try to re start it. I had it recovered and my findings are that the cambelt tensioner has let go. A friend of mine has put a snap on camera down the plug boars and it has appox 6 of the 16v are bent. So now its a none runner. !
As you can see by the history this happening was not a case of i didnt not do the cambelt on the contrary it as had the muliti layer head gasket and all the belts. With in the history. But these things happen. This is now a chance for someone to repair it to what is should be or a crazy track car with it being a 3 door version. There were only a thousand of these cars made. There are 300 ish left. It should really be repaired so hopefully there is someone out there with the machanical know how. Condition wise the car is good all round very tidy outside and inside the interior is clean , no rips in the driver seat there is just a little surface wear on the leather of the drivers seat as photed. It also has all the right geniune Gti bits ie the right wheels (16harpins) the correct half leather seat the rear badge and all the right colour coding.its orignal and has not been messed with.I have done the start price based on the value of its parts wheels, Gti half leather interior etc. Im not going to just scrap this car i have got storage for cars. I could repair it slowly but i thought id offer it out on the market. Happy bidding.Car is at my storage wyke Bradford BD12 at front Easley accessed.
