For sale is my Rover420GSI, in metallic British Racing Green.The car has two previous owners, the first until a couple of years ago.It has an MOT until July 23rd, and is on SORN. It has covered 78k miles, which seems correct from the old MOT history.
I"ve owned it for a year now, it"s had a new battery, waterpump, plugs, leads, cap and arm, plus a new front tyre. I serviced it as well as rebuilding the rear brakes to free the usual sticking caliper.It had the sills welded at the rear for the MOT in the usual corrosion trap under the spats. For a 20 year old car the bodywork is pretty straight and rust free, apart from the rear passenger side arch which has a few small bubbles at the end, and the rear drivers side door which has a big dent in it. The door and window both operate correctly though.The bumper corners have a few small scuffs and there are a few scratches elsewhere as you would expect from a car of it"s age that has been used .
The drivers bolster has a smallish hole in it, but the rest of the interior is in decent condition. The sunroof works and does not leak. I have done 8k miles in it this last year with no problems at all, including some long motorway trips.
It requires a front tyre, a track rod end is a bit tired and the speed 1 on the interior fan has just packed up. It has the standard T Series cam cover oil leak too.
My Rover SD1 is now back on the road after a restoration, and I have aquired an MG ZT 190 project too, so with an impending house move I need to sell this on. I am happy to take more pictures and supply info etc on request.Sensible offers are welcome, although this is already cheap for what is a rare car now.
