Welcome to the reluctant sale of my Rover 45 saloon.
 
Registered 27th June 2003 the car comes with MoT due 13th April 2015 and has covered only 85,000 miles Which is backed by a few stamps in the service book And a few receipts in the paperwork.
The DVLA MoT History printout from the DVLA website
Is also in the paperwork.
 
The history records the the head gasket done at 55,000 miles in September 2009.BThe service book shows a tick box indicating
The coolant being changed but not the cambelt. Having looked at the belt on the car it is Not the original however so it has had one at some point, Possibly when the head gasket was done.
 
Car is in overall very good clean condition and in excellent running order driving very well on all roads with good acceleration and a nice easy to use 5 speed manual gearbox in good condition With a nice tight firm definite gear change
With nice gentle clutch on well under half way bite And running very quiet and very smoothly.
 
The engine is in good order and runs very well Giving nice smooth and powerful firm acceleration At all times with no uneven running or overheating.
 
There is no oil leak and the engine is dry And is shown in the photos so you can see.
 
The interior is in lovely condition throughout With clean tidy I would say Faux leather seats in good order with no damage - they are not seat covers but the actual coverings fitted by Rover. The drivers seat outer bolsters are firm and comfortable and supportive. The back seat is also in good clean condition With no marks or tears or damage of any kind.
 
And.....The bum warmers work!!!!!
 
Windows are electric in front and work okay. Manual in the back.
 
The heater is also very warm and is operated off the centre control panel on the centre facia and all in top working order. Just had a replacement Heater resistor fitted
As the last one failed.
 
Headlining is pale grey and in good condition.
 
Instrument panel is working fine with all dials working and no incorrect readings and no problems with any of the readings.
 
Door mirrors adjusted electronically.
 
There is a JVC Face-Off Radio/CD player installed. All in perfect working order and in good condition. However, as it’s not the Rover one the steering wheel controls don’t work with it.
 
Bodywork is a lovely shiny pale blue metallic colour All in lovely condition save a couple of dinks
One on the drivers side and one near the boot And a few chips and marks on the front but very little
And no damage or broken panels or fittings Chrome trims on the bumpers are in lovely clean condition.
 
Couple of feint scuff marks on the front bumper but No cracks or damage or broken bits All in all, it’s very clean for its age and mileage.
 
The bottom of the wings and doors are all clean and Rust free with only a few chips and marks and no damage.
 
Inside the shut areas is all good with Doors in good condition underneath and Around the sides.
 
Boot and bonnet shut areas also in good condition With no visible rust in the boot area And the boot floor is also good.
 
The underside does have surface rust but nothing structural And this is shown in the photos.
 
Wheels are a very nice set of 17” MGZS Alloys All in clean condition with good 205/40/17 tyres on
All with approx 5mm tread on all 4. Rims are superb with MG Centre caps Which show bit of age and wear but still very presentable.
 
Brakes are in full working order stopping the car in a straight line with no uneven breaking or juddering
 
Inside the boot is all as it should be with spare wheel, jack& wheel brace all present and correct.
Spare is inflated with a good tyre.
 
Car has rear park sensors fitted which are the Rover Ones and all in perfect working order giving out
An audible bleep which speeds up as you get near A solid object and they work and have been tested.
 
Also the car has a single electrics towbar fitted Which is solid and in good condition with connector All in order but I haven’t towed with it.
 
There is 1 key and 1 remote fob with the car which opens All the doors and boot on remote central locking And runs the ignition.
 
So there you have it
One very nice looking Rover 45
in top condition throughout
with light blue metallic paintwork
Leather seats and charcoal carpets all in lovely condition.
Mechanics and bodywork all very good and well sorted
 
A lovely driver with good engine –
Fitted CD player and smooth clutch and gearbox.
