vehicle description:
Purchased 22/03/2015 really for certain parts for my other Rover 620ti. However never removed any parts as this was too good to just use as a parts car. So I have over the last 3 years checked it over, replaced the faulty alternator and one headlamp, repaired the central locking and power windows and replaced the rear brake lines, some metal and all flexible pipes and one calliper. In April 2018 I fitted a new back box to the exhaust and catalytic converter. Also treated it to a new set of car mats from Rimmers. If I was keeping it I would sort the bodywork which is not bad as l believe it’s all original. There are a couple of dents on drivers side in both front and back doors, not bad but noticeable although the paint is not broken so no rust. Passenger side rear wheel arch just starting to go and passenger side door mirror case is cracked but electric mirror still works. The tyres are all good enough for the MOT but deflate slowly as seal to rims needs cleaning and lack of real use (about 50 miles in 3 years) has not helped. Also MOT tester pointed out rear tyres 205/55/16 fronts 205/50/16 as they were when I purchased the car. The starter motor is intermittent but usually starts the car and gets better with use. The car runs well and all the fans kick in when they should. The turbo works fine and car will pull very well. It has aftermarket radio and video screen fitted with face off radio but it won’t fix back in properly, catch broken but it still works and the video screen pops up but never used it so best to assume it doesn’t work. I have the full instructions for both items and also instructions for detachable tow bar that is fitted. I’ve never tried it but it’s all there. The interior is good just slight marks on drivers bolster but the rest is original and in good condition, the digital clock doesn’t work, not many do as it’s 19 years old. Fully info pack with service history to 32k on 20/09/2005. All three keys including master red key still sealed in its original pack. 2 normal keys that work, 2 remote fobs but only one works. The drivers pack has original Rover pen, (working). Previous owner states timing belt changed at 50k but I’ve no proof of that. I looked at timing belt soon after I purchased the car and it looks fine, not old. So not many of these left on the road in almost original state, 75k in 19 years and MOT as above. Could be a lot of car for not a lot of money. Please only bid if you wish to purchase the car, any other questions please ask. I’m only parting with this because I have another one and need to concentrate funds on other British Leyland cars that I am trying to restore.
