Here is a wonderful example of a Rover 75.
It"s fitted with the 1.8 turbo engine so can either be reasonably economical or quite quick for its size, depending on how you choose to drive it.
The car is in excellent condition inside and out. There are a couple of scratches but you have to look hard to find them and I couldn"t get them to show up on photos!
The mileage is low for the year at 82k and it has a full MOT as of 2 days ago.
The headgasket was replaced with the newer uprated version about 6 months ago. The car apparently didn"t blow the old headgasket but the owner was aware of the issues around the old style one so had it replaced as a preventative measure. I"ve tried every conceivable situation to get it to overheat and it won"t so it should be a good one!
The car drives really well and is an excellent motorway cruiser but if you give it some right foot then the 1.8 turbo engine will surprise a few people. For a big car it"s got a good turn of speed when you ask for it.
There are no nasty noises from the turbo, gearbox, engine or suspension. I honestly believe that you will struggle to find a better 75 with this engine setup.
The Rover has remote central locking, electric windows, climate control etc. It is also fitted with its original stereo which gives some clues to Rover"s downfall (who else fitted cassette players in 2003????)
All in all, a really nice looking car that drives very well. I"m sure the new owner will be very pleased.
