Hi I am selling my Rover 75 Connoisseur. It is the top of the range model that has the following options: Heated electric memory seats Full climate control and air con – ICE COLD Reverse parking sensors Rear window blind Leather interior Heated electric rear view mirrors Electric windows all round Cd changer in the glove box Safety night time headlamp switch off (lights stay on for 40 seconds while you walk up your drive) Highline instrument cluster with integrated trip computer. This car is the 1.8 turbo so is quite economical but also goes quite well if you press on, the colour is odyssey blue a strange colour that in some lighting looks dark blue and in others green. I have has this car since December 2010 and can honestly say that this is probably one of the best cars that I have had. The car drives nice and is softly sprung and the seats are probably the most comfortable that I have sat in. I bought this car spares or repair as it needed a clutch and at that time it had 65,000 miles on it and it was totally trouble free until last year when the head gasket went at 95,000 miles due to a faulty radiator . The original head was scrap because the fire rings on the head had gone soft thus pressurising the system (no oil mixed with the water). At that time I managed to get a new cylinder head and fitted this with the latest multilayer steel gasket and stretchbolts. While I undertook this work I also replaced the turbo core as the bearings has some play in them and it also had new drive belts all round along with a new radiator. I decided to change this car this year because my van failed the mot and instead of running two vehicles I decided to get an estate car. The rear brake pipes were replaced on the last mot along with front disks and pads and there are also two brand new tyres on the front of the car.   So that’s all the good points here are the bad points hence why i am selling this car as spares or repair.. There is no history with the car, because it was bought as a finance snatchback so the previous owner did not pass this on, there is only one key with the car. January this year I hit a post on the nearside rear and there is damage to the rear door and sill. The nearside trim is missing I have a trim that will come with the car along with matched paint (enough to repaint a rear door) I was going to get a door painted from the local scrapyard (£30.00) but with the loss of my van and the fact that I bought another car I changed my mind. Brake pad light is illuminated on the dash I have bought a sensor (for the front) this will come with the car. The passenger side mirror needs replacing as the heater element don’t work and you can’t adjust it from the joystick on the driver’s door panel but you can see through it so I manually adjust this. The car is also losing a small amount of coolant from the front radiator hoses – another job that I was going to do but never got round to it I have been checking this every two days and just requires a small top up but really needs doing. The car is mot’d until January 24th 2015 and taxed until 30th December 2014. I have started this car at a low price so please read carefully and bid accordingly please only bid if you want the car. This car drives so no trailer needed just some TLC.
