Here we have for sale Saabrina the Saab. An outstanding example of this 3 door hatchback sports car which are now becoming quite rare.... Especially 1 owner models with only 67,000 warranted mikes on the clock!!!
I bought this car to use as a second car, and as such looked for something which would hold its money, was a potential classic but could also be used every day... and most of all be reliable.
Engine has been serviced on a regular basis and the car boasts a full service history. The car was owned by an elderly lady from Hull from new and was passed to her daughter to sell for her when she gave up driving. The car was owned by the same person for 19 years mostly at the garage where it was bought, then by 2 mechanics from the garage that set up their own business after the dealership closed.... as you can imagine, with an average annual mileage of 3,500 miles (national average approx 12,500) the engine runs exactly as it should. Temp gauge sits at the same point, no lights on the dash, no noises, no smoke.... the car uses no water or oil and is checked regularly.
Gearbox is the bulletproof Saab unit with sports mode AND winter mode. The box changes up and down as it should, no whining or unwanted noises.
Bodywork is very good... not perfect but very very good for a car this age. It has age related dinks here and there and a slight scuff on the rear drivers side arch.... but nothing that detracts from its overall appearance and it shines up well after a polish.
The car brakes as it should with no pulling to any side. The tyres are all legal but the two front tyres are starting to wear on the outside.
Long MOT until August 2018, only advisory being minor corrosion to boot floor.
Interior is in fantastic condition as you would expect from such a low mileage car. The cream leather seats show no real signs of wear and the carpets are the original items again with hardly any wear.
The car comes with an impressive documentation including the original purchase pack, FSH, and receipts for any work it"s had done.
Only reason for sale is that I have changed jobs and no longer have a company vehicle. I"ve been using the Saab as a daily driver and it"s been a pleasure driving her.... but, with a new car ordered, I can"t afford to have both sat in the drive.
