Car is SORN, you will need road tax and insurance to test drive (before auction end)

So, this auction is for the A1 YNV Registration AND the 1998 Saab Convertible. You can have the original plates with the Saab, which are S 562 BGU should you wish to sell the car on its original plates. Mileage is at 113,248

The Saab needs some work, in that the fan belt has come off and the power steering fluid has leaked out. Can still drive it a short distance, although heavy turning due to power steering failure. It is MOT"d until 19/05/16 and had no advisories on last MOT - see photo. Has had everything repaired as and when needed, and serviced. This includes a new clutch and battery last year and a professional refurbishment of all 4 alloy wheels. The roof can be a bit temperamental, and sometimes needed a couple of goes to open. Have not tried to open since last summer, so no idea if it is working now - would recommend a service & lubrication to the hood motor and rams. There is some paint fade to the wings. Started the car this morning, after it sitting for about 4 weeks, and the exhaust is blowing slightly. All in, not a bad looking car for its age, and served my partner well. I"m just not prepared to spend any more money on it. Could do with a valet. Car is classed as Spares or Repairs due to the fact it needs a new Fan belt (or the old one put back on?) and the Power Steering leek repaired. Please see photos showing fan belt off. Would benefit from a service - engine management light is on, guessing because of the power steering?

Car alone is worth £1500 all day long when roof and steering sorted - in the summer months, of course. Perfect money making project if you have the skills and time - these Saab"s will become a collectors item in the not too distant future, and are very much in demand. This one has heated black leather seats, which are in good condition for their age. We have owned the car since May 2013.
