“With a car this age there are going to e a few little niggels, but there is nothing major. There is some rust starting to form on the bottom of the front arches. Nothing massive, but there are marks. The little plastic bracket that holds the MAF in place has snapped and so I've just cable tied it in place so it doesn't move. This doesn't affect how it works in the slightest. The car has the odd age related marks, but in general it's in very good condition. I think that's about it.”

Hi. Here I am selling my Seat LEON Cupra R 225. I"ve owned this car for about a year and have loved every minute driving it, but I"ve recently started a new job within walking distance of where I live and I could really do with the money to buy a place of my own, so sadly the car has got to go. I actually bought the car from a good friend of mine who bought the car completely standard and spent over £3K getting it to where it is now and it"s got quite a list of mods. Here goes...It"s got:
A RamAir induction kit,Forge Diverter Valve,A 3 straight through downpipe and decat,A scorpion catback exhaust,A badger5 oversized turbo intake pipe,It has had the N249 valve bypassed which stops the ecu dumping boost when the car has been remapped and the boost upped,Brembo drilled and grooved discs and brembo pads all around,A 2 gauge pillar pod with boost and oil temperature gauges and finally, An adjustable short shifter.The car was remapped by Nicky at r-tech who is a big name in the VAG wold. When the car was mapped it had a forge turbo intake pipe fitted which was restricting boost making the power curve stop dead at 225bhp, but Nicky at r-tech said that by just changing the intake pipe for an over sized badger5 pipe the turbo could make all the boost the ecu was requesting and the horsepower would go up to around 280. He drew the continuing  curve on the dyno printout to show where it would end up, and after being in the car before and after the pipe was changed I definitely agree! The boost spikes at 23psi and holds at 22psi all the way to the red line, which shows how well it was mapped.
All of this work was carried out at 107k on the clock and at the same time the cam-belt and water pump was replaced too, as well as the oil pickup pipe which have been known to get blocked over the years, so this engine should be good for many many more miles. As you can tell no expense was spared on this car and my friend certainly done his homework before doing any mods.
