This auction is for my Jeep Cherokee 2.8 crd Limited , I"m selling as SPARES or repair as the engine wont start, it was running fine then one day it wouldn"t start the engine turns over as normal and everything works but it just wont fire up, I"ve had it looked at and was told there"s a problem with the ECU which is why it wont start, the MOT run out while its been sitting but it I"m sure would go through another without much trouble once it was running again, the only advisory last time was slight wear in one trackrod end so I bought two new ones intending to get them put on but with this problem now they"ve never been changed so they"re still in the box and will go with it, in the last 2 years its had new front hubs complete with bearings, new discs and pads all round and new shoes in the handbrake, its also had a new front propshaft and new UJ in the rear propshaft more recently the rear wheel bearings and seals have been replaced as one of the seals had a slight leak.
It was a very good running motor before this happened and apart from needing a wash and polish now is still in good condition, the engine has only done just over 60k miles so its done nothing at all really, it has all the usual refinements of the limited edition with heated and power seats electric windows all round, sat nav air bags front and side and also a factory fitted alarm and immobiliser. (check manufacturers spec for full list)
This would be a good motor for someone with the skill to either repair or change the ECU and also the time to do it.
I"m not open to silly offers, its a good motor and I will let it take root rather than give it away, at the price I"m looking for anyone fixing it would have a good motor or be able to sell it on at a profit.
It will obviously need trailered away.
