Here we have for auction my Saab 9-3 Convertible Turbo Automatic in Cayenne Red metallic with Beige Leather interior and 109,756 miles on the clock.   An excellent car overall with a private registration included but being sold as spares or repairs for the following reasons:   The car has had very light accident damage to the rear which has resulted in the bumper being moved forward very slightly and a dent in the boot lid. The insurance company have written it off as a category c which means the cost of repairs for them using brand new parts was going to be more than the market value of the car. However the engineer who inspected the car stated that both the boot lid and bumper could simply be repaired or replaced with second hand items at a fraction of the cost that the insurance company would have to have paid. As a result of the category c classification the car will have to be vic checked by the DVLA before it can be taxed. This can be done even if the bodywork repairs are not carried out as they are very minor. In fact you have to really look close at the photos to see the damage at all.   Also the convertible roof does not operate due to a split pipe in the hydraulic system which can be seen from behind the rear seat.   HISTORY   Unfortunately there is no service record with the car although by the overall condition it has clearly been well looked after.   There are also two sets of keys and some MOTs going back to 2008.   BODYWORK   The bodywork on the car is generally excellent apart from the slight damage at the rear. There are a couple of other minor dents and imperfections as to be expected on a car of this age but nothing major.   INTERIOR   The interior is in excellent order.   MECHANICS   The car runs perfectly with the turbo kicking in beautifully on acceleration. It drives in a straight line. The car is quick with 150BHP in a fairly light car. The drive feels very tight and assured.   The engine bay is very clean.   The car has an MOT until June 2015.   Please be aware that due to the things mentioned above there is work to do to the car and that is why it is sold as spares or repairs with no reserve. Once this is done however it will be a mint example.   Finally, apologies to all of the genuine buyers out there but please no timewasters. If you are interested in the car come and view it.
