This is my 3rd Saab 2.2 tid. I have found them to be ultra reliable, economical and comfortable. Capable of huge mileages if serviced right. Great load luggers and easy to drive. This one is for sale as I have decided to retire and my local Saab specialist has convinced me to buy his Aero estate as I will no longer be doing silly miles. This car has excellent service history and the recent advisories on the last mot have been addressed. It does have a few niggles. now and again the abs light comes on when you turn on the ignition. Turn the ignition off and on and it goes out. It will be a wheel sensor. The air box has a slight squeak you can hear on tick over. The rear reversing sensors work when they fee like it. That"s about it! The body for its age is good. It has the odd small ding and a couple of small scrapes on the bumpers but overall its very presentable. The interior is good with no rips or appearing neglected. There is a small grey mark on the drivers seat that I"m going to try and get out. The air con is ice cold, all windows work, remote central locking with two keys and new batteries!In April I had the following work done by JON Saab POOLE.
All new polyurethane front subframe bushes.New polyurethane rear trailing arm bushes as per mot advisory.Complete New gearbox linkage.Gearbox oil changedFuel filterOil and filterAir filterWork completed at 130000 miles
Tyres have good tread. Michelins on the front and Uniroyals on the rear.The MPG is showing at 45.5.
I have given a full and honest appraisal of the car however, it is getting on a bit so if I have missed anything it will be minor.
To be honest it would be hard to find a car of this quality, history, 45.5 mpg and loads of life left in it for this price.
