vehicle description:

Saab 9-5 2.3 SE estate for sale.
This is honestly one of the most comfortable cars I"ve ever driven. Seats are soft and the suspension and tyres soak up all the bumps. She won"t win any races but then if that"s what you are looking I doubt you"ll be even reading this description. That said, with a turbo charged engine, its mid range power band is surprising.
The car is mechanically spot on with a history folder as long as your arm. This includes pretty much all suspension components, new turbo, new fuel pump, pretty new tyres all round, full service history up to 212,000 miles (it"s due one now). Previously owned for 7 years by a doctor who appeared to have spared no expense.
However, what he spent on mechanical repairs he seemed to lack in careful protection of the bodywork. In short, its battered! I don"t think any of the panels have escaped from a being scratched or dented.
I am very honest and will highlight all the good and bad points below;
Good PointsEverything electric works. this includes;Electric WindowsElectric MirrorsElectric Adjustable Leather SeatsRemote Central Locking (2 keys)Premium Surround Sound Stereo System with subwoofer in the boot (not some aftermarket chavy one)Cruise ControlClimate Control (works but not cold)
Bad PointsBodywork (read above)Exhaust is blowing from centre section - (not very loud but it"s in a hell of a state so the whole thing will need replacing - there are a few cheap systems on here for approx £100)Gearbox mount bushes are a little worn (been an advisory on MOT for a few years, doesn"t really affect the driving of the car)EML Light on (MAF sensor error code - possibly due to someone sticking an induction kit on it at some point in its life (WHY?!))Boot is a little temperamental opening (it"s electric and doesn"t always pop up when pressing the button) Needs rear brake pads for next MOT and handbrake adjustingNeeds a small amount of welding for next MOTStereo works fine but a couple of buttons don"t. (I"ve only listened to radion so can"t comment on the CD player andIi don"t even own a tape to check that!)
This was always a short term stop gap for me (awaiting delivery on new company car) and the MOT isn"t due for a month but I put her through to see what the outcome was and it"s not that bad (mainly some welding). My garage quoted me £300 to get it through but as my company car has now arrived I don"t see the point in doing anything other than passing it on.
The failure details are up on the MOT Gov website here.....
https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history
To summarise, this car is very reliable and mechanically sound and I"d drive it to the moon and back if I had to (and in comfort) but she won"t win any beauty prizes.
I literally do not care what this sells for so I"m starting the listing at just 99p with no reserve. That said, once you bid you"re in and if you win you own it. No time wasters or buy it now questions unless you"re gonna offer me £100,000 I"m going to ignore you :)
Collection is from South Brent and if you are getting the train, I"ll happily collect you from Totnes train station.
When you collect I want cash or a bank transfer. I"ve been as thourough as I can listing all the bad points I know of but shes done 222,222 miles so I doubt I got everything.
