Sit down and listen to a sorry tale of a faithful car:
Until last week this was running fine and performing well. That was before two unfortunate incidents. The first was a cask of beer being spilled into the back - that has caused a number of electrical issues (see below) and, given the recent hot weather, a somewhat unpleasant smell as the car dries out. The second incident was being hit by someone changing lanes without looking and catching the front wing.
We"ve owned the car for a year and it"s been a great and speedy load lugger
Things to note:
Bodywork - scuffs all round, paint flaking and peeling from the bonnet, damage to the front driver"s side wingExhaust - small leak somewhere in the flexible section where the two manifold combineElectrical - At the moment the car will not start every time as a result of the beer spill. I"m fairly sure the fuel cut off has been triggered as the spill went into the rear seat area under which is the fuel tank. The spill has also stopped the central locking from working and the indicators are working intermittently.Electronic Display - The SID has very few pixels still workingCar Alarm - this has been bypassed by removing a fuse as the alarm capacitor needs replacing. This fuse also effects the air conditioning and seat air blowersTransmission - the Neutral Position Indicator sometimes misbehaves and the car will not start. This has been bypassed with a button that will start the car.
So, the car is a bit of a mess, but there are some good bits such as the 3.0 litre engine and turbo on it for a Saab enthusiast. Tyres are all good and there"s a full tank of fuel.
The car can not be relied on to start so will need to be trailered away and collected from Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
The car will be sold as-seen and no guarantee is offered.
