vehicle description:

Hello
Here for sale is my fathers Saab 93 Estate Linear DT which he took in part exchange for his Mercedes SLK 2 months ago as he retired. He has moved back to Germany and I am about to follow Mid August as my time at Innsworth IMJIN BARRACKS here in Gloucester has come to an end.
The car has only been driven about 150 miles since we owned it as I have 3 other cars in the household. However, I have been using it for the last week as the 2 others have been sold ( the left-hand drive is to be kept )!
The dashboard is occasionally showing the Emissions warning light, I suspect because it was standing for to long. It has a big scuff/scratches at the rear bumper, passenger side. According to the previous owner, a motorbike hit the car whilst it was parked. This also caused the rear light to crack a little but he included a replacement which is still in the box, these alone go for 100£ to 120£ used and brand new cost over 250£. I do not have the time to replace it so I"ll leave the pleasure to the next owner. It shakes slightly when the clutch is not pushed down. My mechanic colleague at the barracks said its a thrust bearing issue which you can get for less than 20£ on here and qouted the labour to range between 120£ to 150£. I am not a mechanic so please, if you are interested, come and view the car first with a mechanic or RAC/AA, or ideally you are 1 yourself.
The car is cosmetically not perfect and I did not wash the car before taking the pictures. But, aside from the issues mentioned above its mechanically sound. Once the issues have been tackled, its going to be in perfect condition.
It has service history from new and a folder full of all the jobs that have been done such as Cam belt changed around 20000 miles ago ( so not due another change any time soon). The car has been looked after very well as you can judge by its MOT history.
It only had 1 previous owner before the Gentleman my dad got it off. The first owner was a Saab Car dealership in Saltney, Chester, it was used as a company car by the Manager of the Dealership ( according to the Gentleman ). He bought it back in 2008 and has looked after it very well ever since and if it wasn"t for his wife who wanted a smaller car he would have kept it.
The rear seats have never been used, neither by Saab or him as they still look and smell like new and the front seats are immaculate as well. The interior really is in showroom condition and so is the engine bay. Radio/CD player works as it should and the AC had been recharged. Battery was changed in November last year by himself and all tyres and brake pads were changed as it was an advisory notice after it passed its MOT.
I know that there is a good number of these on the market all starting with a price tag of around 1500£ upwards with the same spec but much more mileage and probably a higher number of owners. It is indeed not perfect on the outside but once the issues it has now have been tackled it will be a mechanically sound car with a great super clean interior. You will have the peace of mind that it was well looked after by Saab and its previous owner. You will have a folder full of all the jobs done to it for you to refer to, which will also increase its resale value in the future.
Basically, you have the chance to get yourself an executive car for a bargain price as this listing is reserve free. The HPI check my dad undertook before he accepted it as part exchange indicated its estimated market value to be 2120£ and other sites such as Autotrader state that a private seller price would be 1850£. All you have to do now is make up your mind of how much your highest bid will be and place it!
PLEASE NOTE; the Alloys you see on the pictures are not included as they have already been sold to a friend of mine. The car will come with its original Saab alloys and new tires (since November) as stated above. They are 16"s.
PLEASE NOTE; my dad agreed with the previous owner for him not to sent off the V5 but handed my dad the new keepers green slip. If you are not aware, it is quite common" for Car dealerships to do the same, the reason being is simply to keep the number of owners of the vehicle down. Once you collect it, you will be handed the green slip and a V62 form, you enter all your details and sent it off to DVLA as registered mail. Since you are in possession of the green slip, you are the owner, and therefore, DVLA will not charge you. Please read it up if you are uncertain but it really is that simple. Done it myself in 2012 for the Nissan Micra I bought for my wife, no issues.
Sorry for the legit ebayers on here but I just have to add this as I have always done on my previous listings. PLEASE ALSO READ IF YOU ARE A LEGIT EBAYER AS THIS INFO WILL BE VERY USEFUL TO YOU IN THE FUTURE.
Be warned….legal proceedings for none payers.
It is common practice in Germany to sue anyone who does not oblige to a legal binding contract, and I have made use of my legal rights there and here in the UK ever since I have started selling on ebay and I have never lost a case. Since I have been posted here in 2011 I have won 4 cases, 3 of them didn"t even reach the Court. Claims are dealt with by a Solicitor referred to me by the Forces, and the process is actually very straight forward. Mr Mark Hammond from TREASURES SOCLICITORS LLP here in Gloucester has become a very good friend. He is a General Litigation specialist and has been doing this since 1981. The service I use of him is called, CONTRACT CLAIMS. This kind of claims are a piece of cake for him but since he usually doesn"t take on this kind of, so called, small jobs, he charges me between 15% to 25% of whatever sim I am trying to recover. I know it is a decent amount but I happily pay it for the satisfaction of teaching someone a lesson he/she won"t forget and deserves. So please bear that in mind if you place a bid as I have no time to waste.
please....please....please...do your own checks....MOT history....Tax cost...insurance cost....read about common faults of the car....and most importantly do a HPI check of our own!!!! SINCE ALL OUR UK BANK ACCOUNTS WILL BE CLOSED BEFORE I LEAVE I CAN ONLY ACCEPT CASH PAYMENTS ON COLLECTION OR BANK TRANSFER Thanks for reading...happy bidding and Goodluck.
