This little Ibiza has had a quiet life. Owned by one of our regular customers since 2002, I can honestly say with my hand on my heart, this little beauty has never been raced or rallied!I rather like the little thing actually. Lets call him Ian.Ian, in his dedicated service to his last owner, has been a good little chap, and never let him down (there was that time when he ran off with the circus, but the least said about that the better. It was a rather embarrassing tale, and it has long been forgotten and forgiven. Suffice to say, Ian can no longer watch the trapeze without flinching.*)We have had the please of serving Ian over the years, and he is in good condition for his age. Yes, he has a little scuff on the front, and the passenger door lock is missing, but its an age thing. We all get these little foibles.Ian is a good little runner, and would suit a new driver as he has a fantastic temperament.I suppose he is a bit like an old labrador. Faithful, friendly, easy going, great with children but in need of a bath.His interior is in great shape, with no tears or marks on the upholstery, and generally his bodywork is okay too.I have taken pictures of the service book, so you can see for yourself how well he has been looked after. He has just been MOTed, with the test running out on 31st March 2017.All in all, a nice little car, being sold with no reserve, so get in here quick. Usual rules apply, to bid is to buy...blah blah blah. I am quite happy to answer any questions and send further pictures if required. Just ask nicely.If you are lucky enough to win Ian in the auction, you will need to collect him, as I cannot deliver and he shouldn"t be out on his own at his age.Especially as the circus is in town again.
*I wasn"t going to mention it any further, but I can tell that you are intrigued. The story goes that his owner picked up a hitch hiking trapeze artiste and his beautiful partner one stormy evening. They were so grateful, Ian and his owner were given ringside Seats for the following evenings performance. Ian was very excited, as he had never been to the circus before, and he could still smell the beautiful ladies perfume on his Seats. His heart raced at the thought of seeing her again, and revved his excitement on the way that night. His evening plans were dashed, however, when his owner decided to take his wife, and Ian was confined to the car park. Desperate to get in to see the show, he disguised himself as a clown, and sneaked into the ring with the other clowns, hoping to see the wonderful vision that he had given a lift to just the night before.It turned out that he was a wonderful clown, and he had a great time throwing and catching custard pies and squirting the boys and girls with water. Sadly, he was so caught up in his clowning, he failed to notice the beautiful young woman in sequins and feathers walk out with her partner to take to the trapeze. As they climbed to the high wire, Ian and the other clowns were getting towards the end of their act, and in his excitement, getting laughs and cheers, his wheel caught the rope securing the safety net, loosening it.The lights dimmed, and the drums rolled, and the trapeze artists began their performance.It was a hot night, and maybe their hands were a little sweatier than normal or maybe it was just a terrible accident, but during a particularly daring somersault, she slipped from his grasp, and fell to the net below.Ian, who had been captivated by the performance, noticed by sheer luck that the net was insecure, and would not hold her weight as she plummeted to the ground. Everything seemed to be happening in slow motion.Without a thought for his own safety, he revved his little engine and drove forward with as much speed as he could, and managed to catch the beautiful young woman on his roof.The crowd stood and cheered at his quick thinking and bravery. He was a hero, but he also knew that it was almost his fault that she could have been gravely injured. He vowed never to be rash again, but he never has forgotten that fateful evening.
