I acquired this Fiesta from an acquaintance in August 2011, and have been generally pleased with it. The expiry of its MOT in November coincided with a the chance of using my Mum"s car while she was out of the country for several months. It has been safely parked offroad on my property ever since, taxed but never driven, as my intention had always been to renew the MOT in due course. However, after being offered a newer car at a price which I could not refuse, I applied for SORN in April, choosing not to incur the presumed cost and hassle in persuing this. Someone else might now like the opportunity to tinker and give this Fiesta the TLC it needs, perhaps a keen young apprentice or "broke" enthusiast, so I have priced it to sell as a non-runner, with no promises, for parts and/or repair.
General condition: Light scratches to bodywork, small deeper one on driver"s door. No bumps nor bruises of any note. Rust to wheel arches and sills, the latter needing more attention. No wear to upholstery. No sign of damp or water leaks in cabin. When last driven on the open road six months ago, both the clutch and gears seemed fine, the stereo sounded great, the heater worked effectively, as did the electric windows and the central locking. I have not used the towbar, nor I believe did the previous owner. The engine comes as found, with no sign of radiator or oil leak (gasket replaced in October 2013), but she started on the button first time yesterday on a jump. Subsequently taking her onto the adjacent large shared private drive, the exhaust was a bit noisy and smokey, and seems to have lost a bracket. I have turned over the engine occasionally during the winter, dutifully rotating the wheels to prevent seizing up.
