For sale is my belovedSkoda Octavia Elegance 1.9tdi Estate. It’s an absolute pleasure to drive and incredibly economical. It’s the elegance model so was the top of the range model when new and has all of the additional extras including climate control, symphony stereo system etc. She’s only done just under 142000 Miles and has an MOT until August 2015 (No advisories on the last MOT). Mechanics: Mechanically the car is excellent, it runs beautifully and will easily return 55-60mpg on a run. At only 142000 miles it is only just broken in. The car has been well looked after mechanically and has been regularly serviced with receipts to prove. In the last year it has had a new timing belt (134,000Miles), full service with plugs, brake pads etc and just before Xmas it had the following replaced: coolant, oil, fuel and air filters. The only think to note is that when you start it on a cold day it will smoke but this burns off after 30 seconds of running. Electrics: everything works exactly as it should including remote central locking, electric sunroof, climate control (nice and cool), CD multi-changer, computer system. Exterior: The paintwork is far from perfect but there is no rust anywhere on the car. There are lots of small scratches and chips to the paintwork. As you can see in the pictures there is a small crack to the drivers side bumper which has been repaired. Interior: Passable inside, small hole in driver’s seat, roof lining a little grubby. I’ve just had it valeted and it scrubs up ok. Includes extras like the parcel shelf and the arm rest. In summary – not a looker but a very solid, reliable and economical car that has many years of motoring left in it. I would love to keep her but I’m in the market for a small van so she must go. Includes 2 keys and half a tank of fuel! Viewings are welcome on evenings and this coming weekend in Hackney, London.
