SkodaOctavia Estate 1.9 PD TDi 130 BHP Laurin & Klement This classified auction is for a 2003 Skoda Octavia Estate 1.9 PD TDi 130 BHP Laurin & Klement in metallic Admiral Blue. It’s an amazing colour, especially in good sunlight.   The car has 179,099 genuine miles with full service history. We have bought another Skoda Octavia, newer version to replace this one as have been very impressed with it. We originally bought it as our Toyota truck went in for lengthy repairs and we could not be without a car to get around while this was being repaired.    We have had my truck back now but liked the Skoda so much we thought we bought another one and upgraded at the same time.  So now it’s no longer needed  hence it’s up for sale. The car is in fantastic condition for its age and miles. The car has been very well maintained with full service history, with 15 standard services including the 2 timing belt changes. The last standard service was carried out at 178,531 miles in Oct 2014. The important timing belt and water pump change was carried out at 59,558 in Feb 2010 and again at 119,924 in March 2012. It had a wheel bearing, rubber gaiter, some bulbs replaced and tracking checked at 158,910 in Sept 2013. It has had a new Clutch fitted at 161211 in Jan 2014.  There is a slight intermittent noise on the gearbox, I thought it was the clutch so got it changed, plus the gearbox fluid but noise is still there intermittently but continues to drive fine with no issues. The front discs and pads plus rear discs and pads have been changed along with the important but sometimes missed brake fluid change at 166215 in April 2014 . Both rear brake callipers have also been replaced at 166215 in April 2014. The Octavia has the amazing 1.9 PD TDi engine.  It’s combined with a 6 speed gear box meaning that you get very good fuel efficiency on long runs; I’ve easily achieved over 55mpg on motorway runs to my parents in Surrey.   Obviously being the 130 BHP it also has a lot of power if you want to use it.  Being the top of the range Laurin & Klement model the car has a fantastic specification.  This means it benefits from having full black leather interior that are heated on the front two seats.  It has really handy steering wheel controls including the cruise control, radio station control and volume control.  It has Laurin & Klement alloy wheels which really add to the looks of the car and also has original floor mats. It also benefits from the standard original Skoda xenon headlights & washer system.  It also has rear parking sensors which are really useful. The car has Power steering, ABS braking system, air conditioning (fully working and icy cold), front/passenger airbags, traction control, trip computer, child locks and isofix system, alarm + immobiliser, electric windows, electric/heated mirrors, electric tilt / slide sunroof and a centre armrest. The car has a great Symphony stereo system with 8 speakers and a 6 disk CD changer.  The front speakers + twitters have been replaced and upgraded too due to the originals needing replacing. A Connects2 Bluetooth system has been fitted that integrates with the Symphony Stereo System this allows you to play music from your phone and make and receive phones calls whilst on the move. It has a lockable factory detachable tow bar which I have only used for my bike rack when biking over at the Forest of Dean. The car itself is in very good condition inside and out, the leather seats are in amazing condition and have been fed with leather cream to keep them like this.  All of the tyres are really good with 2 new tyres on the rear, fronts are hardly worn and a good tyre on the spare which is also a full size matching alloy. With all this said it makes a great hard wearing workhorse with an executive high spec that you can rely on, hence Octavia’s are so popular. I’ve added a lot of detailed photos so that you can see the condition of the car.  It does have small scuffs, scratches, stone chips and a few small dents which you would expect for this age and mileage as I would be lying if I said it was immaculate, but are hard to see in the photos. It also has a small patch of cosmetic rust in the rear tailgate where the body meets the window but this has been treated. The car currently has an MOT until February 2014 but with the good service history I expect it will pass the next with flying colours.  It has tax until the end of March 2014 but new rules now apply per DVLA.  The original owner’s handbooks and service records are included in the sale along with previous MOT’S, 1 original key and the 2 stone chip touch in pen sticks.
