Subaru Forester XTEn Auto 2005 (55)
This car is in excellent mechanical condition. I bought the car recently as a stop gap for my wife, as we have had XT"s previously and they are incredibly strong and reliable. However, with three children it"s not a car we can keep long term. There are 11 Subaru services, 2 independent, and 1 Subaru specialist, 14 in total.
Nonetheless I have had the following done recently by a Subaru specialist:
Front Mintex brake discs
Front Brembo pads
Release front caliper pistons
Fit replacement front water cross pipe
Fill with new red (OAT) coolant
Replace o/s fog lamp housing
Oil change
Fit new back Subaru oil filter and o-ring
Oil - Shell Helix HG Professional
New fog light bulb fitted by myself
The cream leather is in good overall condition with most wear being to the drivers seat. The sat nav works although an uptodate disc would be good.
The car drives perfectly smooth, you are welcome to come and sit in the passenger seat and go for a test drive. If you give me full payment you can take it for yourself, sorry but as you can imagine I want to avoid any unwarranted incidents.
The offside rear window does not work however I have a replacement motor and will include that with the sale. The only other issue is the that the sunroof intermittently does not retract, except by doing it manually. Cosmetically there are a few minor dents and scratches. There is some paint bubble/rust on near side front door next to front arch, I will post a picture. Lastly, there are some stains in the rear carpets mainly under the mats so are hidden.
I have been using super unleaded since owning the car. It pulls and drives as it should. It looks beautiful with black on cream leather. The alloys are in pretty good shape, a few minor scuffs. The tyres are all Goodyear Efficient Grip with similar wear.
It"s a proper car, mechanically it"s been well looked after. If you have any questions don"t hesitate to ask. There is not much negotiation on price, so please anticipate that when you come to view.
