I"ve owned lots of performance cars over 300bhp (as high as 500bhp from Saab 9000s, Alfas, BMWS), but never a Subaru. This one being my first and yes it"s a quick un". Definitely in the top three fastest cars I"ve owned and I kept up with an aggressive Porsche Carrera S on the day I bought it which put a smile on my face. I know how to handle, drive and maintain fast modified cars and I have taken good care of the turbo, gearbox and kept an eye on fluid levels. I"ve only owned it for 3 months because for me it was always going to be stop gap until the New Year and I have a new van now for work.
The previous owner did an excellent job on this car and spent over £5k with all the modifications and servicing - I will relay the information he provided to me.
Modified to 337bhp by Bob Rawle of BRDevelopments (a big name in the mapping game). He took the car from 177bhp all the way to 337bhp (338 torque).This map is very aggressive so a Profec Manual Boost Controller has been fitted (bypassing the original BRD map) and so its running about 300bhp at the moment. It"s very easy to plug back in the original BRD map if you want the 337bhp super map. Literally swap two small hoses and secure with cable ties (5 minute job each way). Pipes are marked with green cable ties so easy to change back and forth and a great option to have.

Further Information
The car literally starts instantly on the first turn of the key. Both the previous owner and myself allow the oil to warm up before driving it (and the turbo to cool down for 1 minute via the turbo timer). It idles, drives and stops on point and performs and handles impressively. There is no rust underneath or on the bodywork and I have replaced any bulbs that needed to be changed. It has MOT end of March, but I don"t have the certificate so you can find online no problems. For the record this will fly through its MOT as its in excellent nick and just needs a wheel bearing I think driver"s front/or drivers rear.
Bad Points
The car was drove into by a cyclist (yes, a man on a pushbike) who wasn"t looking where he was going. He hit the n/s front wing and tumbled across the front of the bonnet and scoop. Minimal damage, but the previous owner made the big error of claiming on his insurance and they made it a Cat C. The wing and bonnet has had a bit of filler and then touched up badly. It deserves much better. I have been keeping an eye out for a front wing in the same colour as that will be the best and cheapest option as they are between £35 - £70. This hopefully shouldn"t detract you from an otherwise stunning car.
The drivers side electric window needs a new motor and one wheel bearing will need replacing for the next MOT.
