vehicle description:

For Sale; 2004, 54reg, SubaruImpreza WRX ‘blob-eye’ Saloon with FSH, only 84k miles, in Obsidian Black Metallic (optional Subaru colour - black with the gold fleck).
Engine
The power in this car is just awesome. It has only had the most desirable parts added, widely accepted amongst the Subaru community as sustainable upgrades. Namely; an STi intercooler, VF35 turbo (900miles when fitted), STi pink injectors, a green panel filter (there is also a full induction kit available with the car, although I understand from the previous owner, it would need to be re-mapped if fitted), de-catted wrapped up-pipe, sports-cat downpipe, Scoobyworld de-cat centre section and Racebox backbox (not loud at all thankfully). The car was remapped by Andy Forrest to a safe 336bhp (receipt and print-out present). There is also a red hose kit fitted including the intercooler hose which really sets the engine bay off.

History
The car is a UK car originally supplied by Town & Country Subaru in Perth, Scotland where it spent all of its life until I bought it. The service book shows stamps as follows:

19th Nov 04; 1,150 miles – SubaruTown & Country, Perth
9th Sep 05; 7,146 miles – SubaruTown & Country, Perth
8th Sep 06; 14,592 miles – SubaruJohn Weir, Perth

Exterior
The colour of this car is amazing – the pictures really don’t do it justification, but in the sun, when the gold fleck can be seen, it’s just fantastic. While I can’t say that the paintwork is completely spotless - odd mark, area of lacquer peeling on the front bumper, and a small dent on the C pillar (strange place for a dent and fortunately not noticeable), it is generally excellent. No respray work has been done; the car is all original. Previous owner was obsessive about cleaning it, and used Blackfire wax once a week which seems to have helped protect it.

As you can see from the pictures, it has had some aesthetic modifications; colour-coded front fog lamp covers, Zun Sport black metal grill inserts, Rhinolip flexible front splitter, de-tango’d headlights, larger STI bonnet scoop and a rear STI wing (properly colour matched).

It also has 18” Rota Grid Drift wheels (two tyres fine, two need replacing – 225/40/18s so about £75 each for Goodyears) and is sitting on a set of fully adjustable (height and ride settings) BC BR-type coilovers.

Interior
Most importantly, everything works (including the air conditioning). Stereo is a Pioneer double-din head-unit with Bluetooth, phone integration and USB connection. Full Cat 1 factory alarm and immobiliser system.

Summary
Overall, a stunning looking car with ample power that hasn’t been overly modified.

The only bad points are the fact that it’s got an HKS dump valve on it (which I find embarrassing) and it’s got two extra dials (for boost and oil pressure) on the driver’s side A-pillar which create a mini blind-spot on roundabouts. It could do with new brake pads, and possibly disks, although after looking on the internet, these are extremely reasonable. The wheels are scuffed unfortunately; not too badly, but they could do with a refurb – because of the width of the rims, they don’t get any protection from the tyres so they’re exposed, and could potentially get marked again – you’ll need to be careful!

The car has a wealth of supporting documentation (see picture). I haven’t owned the car long. I am 37 and this is my first Impreza – I spent months and months finding the right one, but I just can’t live with it. I must be going soft in my old age, but I find it too lairy and hard, so I’m going back to something that copes with speed bumps better! It didn’t help that I sold it to my wife as a ‘family car’ based on the fact it’s got four doors – turns out, this is not what she had in mind.

The car is one of the last of the £285 yearly tax WRXs, is MOT’d until December, was last serviced just 2,000 miles ago, and is HPI clear (current print-out available).
