**RE-ADVERTISED DUE TO TIME WASTER**
I am selling my much-loved Suzuki Jimny. This is one of the stick-shift 4WD models (ie it has two gear levers rather than buttons for the 4WD engage – see photos). It"s so much more satisfying than a button!
I’m selling it because it needs more work than I can commit to, justify, or learn the skills to do. I’m so upset about this I had to go out and buy a new one! J
The rear seats and trim were taken out to investigate the corrosion. I can’t see any point in putting them back so will sell the rear seats and trim separately. If you are interested in buying this as a complete vehicle please contact me with a sensible offer and I will remove the other items from sale.
Although it has an MoT (to November 2016) I would not suggest that it should be considered a suitable car for everyday use. I am selling it on the basis that it would be a project for someone to restore, or for spares. It is, however, legal to drive away (subject to tax and insurance!).
This car runs and drives extremely well, BUT it has major corrosion issues (see photos). The rear half of the car is extremely corroded – as a minimum it needs a new rear floor pan (£125) and a load of welding to make it good. I have been quoted £500 - £1000 for this work. The person quoting did not know that you could get a new floor pan, so it should work out at the lower end of that quote – BUT there is extensive corrosion to the chassis and if this does not need work now, it will do in the very near future. This is all fixable, but I do not have the time or the skills to even consider starting.

This is a transition model, and has some characteristics of both earlier and later models of that year – if you’re interested in buying it for spares please get in touch and I can provide further details. Also if you’re buying it to restore, you’ll need to be aware of this.
I’ll be very sorry to see this car go, but it has simply become uneconomical for me to continue to repair and keep on the road. I just don’t have the engineering skills and kit to make it viable for me to do the required work.
It would make an excellent donor vehicle for a project; an excellent vehicle to break, if you have the time and inclination; or an excellent restoration project for someone with a welder and the time it needs to have devoted to it.
