2007 Black Suzuki Swift Sport Manual Black3 Door HatchbackImmaculate Interior Drove an absolute Treat Very Nice little Car (Inside)
Outside unfortunately apart from the other 3 corners of the car which are in excellent condition for its age and very tidy. It has a nasty bit of damage to the nearside Front wheel and wishbone area etc as well as bumper and headlight damage.
It looks really bad but now but I did actually drive the car home down the dual carriageway, believe it or not! It was a very mild impact or so I thought and felt, where I was forced to take to the verge (a very high kerb) to avoid an oblivious motorist cutting into my lane on a busy roundabout (the air bags finally deployed when I slammed the door shut with rage as she sped off!).
So initially apart from a good thump I hadn"t really considered there would be that much damage considering it was a verge/kerb and only sub 10 even less, 5 mph impact!. If hadn"t taken evasive action she would have possibly killed me but definitely cause a nasty pile up. And the thanks I got was seeing the back of her muddy number plate as she sped off!!
I thought the car was OK but had taken a thump and would need some tracking and a wheel balance but and then I saw the damage having noted the airbags had deployed!! Nonetheless I managed to limp it home where it has sat for months now annoying my nice very patient but getting less and less so, neighbors!
As I say that patience has been wearing thin and as the insurance company took ages to decide it was going to do nothing in the end. I"m now stuck with a car I have replaced and don"t want the hassle of towing to the garage and repairing especially as I"m not sure what it would cost etc but the tow would be £300 for a couple of miles!
So.... I am however very sure it is worth more than scrap value! Especially to someone with the tools and the know how. I"m pretty sure there is an absolute bargain for someone with a trailer/transporter out there and some mechanical know how.
- It drove home! - Before hitting a big kerb slowly, it was an immaculate, awesome fun, nippy little hatch back that reminded me of the 3 Swift Gti"s I had in the late 90"s as a teenager! Which were cracking cars, true underrated drivers cars,especially that G13B Engine! Anyway I digress...
- I have V5 2 Keys a few bits of paper and a feeling of sadness/anger and despair- I cannot get the mileaage as the battery is dead but I kniw it iis less that 100,000 (in the mid to high 90"s I think).- So Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust, 3 wheels + 4 Good Tyres.- Fantastic sporty Alcantara bucket seats interior (very clean)- It had just had new brake pads and I think disks from what I remember but don"t qute me!- The point is that it is still a really tidy clean cool car. Just don"t know how costly the damage will be to a Civvy but I know for a fact that if you knew what you were doing and had the vehicle to remove it you could get a £2k car back on the road or a bargain and if it costs a bit more then she"s more of a keep or longer girl.
I just know that scrapping it or metal for chump change would be a travesty and huge injustice! So hopefully somebody with the wherewithal will come and save this cool little runabout rom the crushers and give it a new lease of life!!
So someone please take it off my hands for a price that doesn"t depress me too much!!
