TVR 350i only 54k miles M.O.T till July 2020 So here"s the summary, its loud, fast and a real handful! there"s no abs, no airbags, no electronic aids and it still has a cassette player. She"s a little rough round the edges but is mechanically good, can still turn quite a few heads and Its a lot of fun to drive. Road legal and ready to drive away. Has covered only 54,381 miles, starts first time from cold and hot and runs well, the engine is a 3.5 v8 rover which when fitted were hand tuned, the sound from the exhaust is fantastic, this is an early model so has no cat. There are no oil or water leaks from the engine and it does not overheat. The clutch is heavy, which is normal for older sports cars but easy to use and lots of life left, 5 speed manual gearbox which is smooth with very good changes, the car pulls well in all gears. Brakes are also good and stop the car in a nice clean straight line with no pulling, the rear shocks have been upgraded and the car rides well. There is a very large file that comes with the car that includes lots of bills and receipts for work carried out on the car as well as a workshop manual. As with most TVR"s the car has been looked after and worked on by its owners, I have carried out some work on the car recently including oil/filter change, spark plugs, new front oil seal, new exhaust manifold gaskets, new track rod end (including tracking). The car is HPI clear and comes with 3 x keys, log book and service records. The body is Blackpool"s finest fibreglass so no issues with rust or rot on these cars, the chassis is in very good condition and shows very little signs of wear just some very light signs of surface corrosion, it has been well looked after and garaged for most of its life. The wheels are also in good condition and are fitted with 4 good tyres all round. The paint is a solid gloss paint and as so comes up very well when polished, however there are many small marks and scratches on the car, in my opinion the car would benefit from a respray but is perfectly useable as is. The panels are straight and there are no big scuffs or any damage, the front bumper, lower front spoiler and wing mirrors have been painted and are a slightly lighter blue and look better in person than in pictures. The roof is average at best but i would not class it as water proof, more water resistant! ok if caught out in rain when driving but not for being parked up in heavy rain. A new roof and weather seals would be the best way forward (approx £400) and is quite an easy diy job, the car does come with a cover or is best to garage when not in use. Inside the car is clean and tidy, the seats are vinyl not leather but are comfy, there is a small tear on the drivers seat base where the stitching has come undone. All the gauges are in good work condition as are both electric windows and a pull out stereo cassette player, the heaters work and also the pop up lights as do also all the switches and lights. TVR"s are great fun and I"ve owned many before, they are easy to work on and do suit people who like to tinker with cars, they make great classic cars to own and will only increase in value.
