The time has come to sell "Tori" ...My TVR 350i
This has been the most fun car that I have ever had the pleasure of owning, she NEVER fails to put a smile on your face!!!
She has been well looked after, the last 2 owners being TVR club enthusiasts.
Only selling to fund the purchase of a Jaguar XKR.
Where to start? This car has had so much done to it that I don"t know where to begin.....It"s going to take a while so put the kettle on.
I have a fully documented history of the car bound in a leather TVR folder embossed with the model and chasis number on the front. It contains all of the work carried out on the car since new and is way too much to include all of it in this advert, so I will include the recent and most relevant work carried out on her.

Right, now you want to know how she drives?
Engine : Starts first time, every time...needs warming up for a minute before setting off. The tweaked Rover 3.5 lump pulls through all 5 gears with ease and is surprisingly easy to drive in traffic and around town, however, give here a stretch of clear road or a country lane and plant the throttle and Tori screams like a banshi! Probably the quickest car I have owned to date, not the most powerful but the power to weight ratio of this car gives blistereing performance and incredible torque. The thing I like about her is that it is a reliable, maneagble power delivery. The car needs to be driven! Temperature and oil pressure are spot on and how they should be and she never overheats even on the hottest of days or in traffic. Only run on Esso high performance fuel, the car gave just over 190 bhp on a rolling road set up last year which is sound for a 350i, I also have an uprated ECU wich cost around £300 which should give and extra 10-15 bhp but to be honest, this car will be enough as is for most people but I will include the ECU anyway. She sounds insanely good with the stainless steel exhaust pipes...Hence no radio! You wouldn"t hear it.
Gearbox : All 5 gears and reverse select with ease, no crunching in any of them. No adverse knocking etc. It was commented on when she was on the rolling road that the minimal transmission drag means the clutch and gearbox are in good condition.
Brakes : Uprated drilled and vented 300mm front disc conversion with Willwood 4 pot calipers....stops on a dime
Susension : Adjustable AVO"s all round with a full geometry set up means that Tori handles incredibly well, in fact, I"ve never had a car that handles quite like it. Outriggers were done last year so that"s something the new owner doesn"t have to worry about.
Interior : Lovely black leather sports seats with red piping to match the rest of the cars interior. Non standard momo style steering wheel to hang onto and the wood veneer is in pretty good condition considering how old she is. There is a stereo space but not one fitted and there is a rare glove box fitted in the dash as well. The roof is in good condition and was reconditioned and re proofed in 2015. The roof is very easy to put on/take off and comes with its very own leather carrying case for storing in the boot.
Exterior : This is the only thing I would work on if I was keeping the car (which I have no probs with if she doesn"t sell) She has been buffed up and polished but her age does show on the paintwork. Some slight crazing of the paint...Remember that she is fibreglass so there are no rust issues with her. I have been quoted £700 to have her wrapped in white, but due to the fact she is a classy bird, I would rather hang on and have her fully resprayed if she is still with me this time next month. It"s got be remembered just how old she is!
To sum it up, she drives great, a real drivers car and a supercar of her day, only used in the dry weather and clearly pampered for most of her life, this TVR is bound to give years of motoring pleasure to the next owner and beyond. I would happily jump in Tori and drive anywhere in Europe with her.
The only things I can think to add are that the fuel guage has a mind of its own so I never trust it!...Just fill up everty time I take her out, and that recently, the handbrake hasn"t been holding as it should. The car is over 30 years old at the end of the day so you won"t be picking up a showroom model and things will go wrong with it from time to time...That"s the fun of owning a classic car I guess as opposed to having a daily driver!
All in all, a great useable and investable car. A true British sportscar the prices of good TVR"s have been rocketing over the last 2 years and there is talk about manufacturing TVR"s again which will create a bit of a buzz.
