So I said to my wife some years ago, “I am going to sell my bike and by a sports car”. So I looked around at all the usual modern suspects and could not find a thing I liked. A friend of mine had a TVR. This was the end result.
There is a lot of rubbish out there, but I was lucky enough to find this one that had not been messed with, done lunar mileage or was a repainted piece of poo! The last owner before me had owned it for 18 years. He had dry stored it, along with an Aston Martin, in 2005. I bought it in December 2012 and I set about putting it back on the road to its former glory. All new rubbers in the rear suspension, New oil seals on the Diff, Gearbox, rear Crankshaft main. New Timing chain, all the Oils, Rotor arm, Spark plugs, HT Leads, Oil pressure sensor, Water temperature sensor, Boot lid strut, Heater Valve, “V” belt, Rocker cover gaskets, Rad cap, rear window, Removable Steering wheel, etc etc…. It has the original service book with stamps in it and it had only done 53100 miles when I got it in 2012. It has now done 55580.
As it had been standing, I removed the sump and cleaned that out. I had a 4 wheel realignment done, including Camber. That was set for dry road use. 
So why am I selling it, you may ask. As you can see in one of the pictures, I found a beautiful TR3A, and my wife said that something has to go. So I set about packing her bags ………… she was not amused!
