I need to make room in my garage so offering here for sale my 1996 TVR Chimaera in the best colour scheme in my opinion.
Its in quite exceptional condition having been properly maintained and cared for with a full service history, the most recent one in February this year around 100 miles ago.
With 40,500 miles travelled it is a genuine low-mileage example that is totally original and unmolested.  Most of these cars have been driven hard by “driving enthusiasts” – this one has clearly been run by “car enthusiasts”.
The 4,0L V8 engine fires up immediately from hot or cold, runs just fine with no oil leaks or other problems.  The gearbox and clutch are faultless too.
The bodywork is near-perfect with only very minor stone chips.  No accident damage whatsoever. 
The interior of these cars suffer badly from lack of care.  Mine is exceptionally clean with no damage. Everything works as it should and it even has the original wood dashboard which often delaminates meaning metal replacements are common.  There is no damage or delamination at all.
All wheels are in good condition with no scratches or scuffs.  All tyres are proper branded ones with plenty of tread.
As an early ’97 model it benefits from the first facelift so the ugly rubber strips on the bumpers are gone and the door release buttons are under the mirrors.  It also avoids the slightly kit-car style back lights of the later models as it retains the blacked out fiesta lights which were the major feature of the original design.
The exhaust is stainless steel.
The chassis is remarkably clean and the outriggers are solid, maintained, painted and waxoyled.
It’s the real man’s model without the girly power steering so the driving experience is exactly as intended.
Any inspection welcome – this is seriously one of the best, original models with low mileage so sure to appreciate in value.
HPi clear, never had an accident, never stolen, no bad history at all.  Both keys, service book and a file of receipts come with the car.
The car has an immobiliser and has had a new battery this spring.
