For Sale,
1994 TVR Chimaera 4.0 V8 HC.
Starfire Blue metallic with contrasting Magnolia leather interior with Blue leather dash.
Mot until May 2017, will not come with tax due to the changed law.
HPI clear, with good service record and MOT"s dating back to 1997.
Recently refurbished Imola alloys, tyres have good tread.
JVC Radio/CD/MP3 with upgraded Pioneer speakers.
Many new parts fitted including, new camshaft, new Vernier timing chain and sprockets, followers, rocker arms, timing cover and water pump gaskets, upgraded exhaust bushes, new anti-freeze, service including all 8 spark plugs and new upgraded HT leads.
No water or oil usage, no leaks, no strange noises, gearbox and clutch in good health. No problems with the chassis or outriggers.
All work in my ownership has been carried out by TVR Ecosse.
Good clean interior, although I would reckon the wood dash would benifit replacement at some point due onset delamination.
Hood is not perfect however no tears and the screen is in good condition. Seals well and no leaks!
Will need some jobs to make perfect, rev counter inoperative and fuel light stays on all the time, however the gauge works. Coolant gauge sometimes gives false reading however, never goes above 90 degrees and cooling fans work as they should. Central locking and alarm inop, I work the door locks off the key and car is kept in a heated secure garage anyway. Stepper motor will require changing as sometimes the car idles slightly too high.
Approx 62000 miles, however car is in regular use now the weather is drier, so this will rise slightly. Mileage counter was reset prior to my ownership due to a fault behind the speedohead so currently reads approx 3500miles, however I have MOT"s, history and certificate to confirm the car had 58000 miles prior to this.
No show winner but a clean, reliable and very useable Chimaera.
Regrettable sale of a much loved car however due to relocation I have no option.
Please note the car will come with its original numberplate, M362JPR.
