Hello and welcome to the Auction to buy my beloved 2004 Toyota Celica. Apologies for the long description, but this is no ordinary Celica so please read carefully. This car is the most mechanically sound Celica on , and this really is an opportunity to buy solid, genuine example with nearly £4000 spent on it!I have owned this car for nearly 2 and half years, and it was destined for the scrap heap when I purchased it. Having previously restored a Gen 6 Celica, I knew I could get this one back on in good working order. The biggest thing I have done is put a new engine in, at the cost of £1200! It needed doing as the previous engine was using oil due to a manufacturing fault with the pistons, quite common on these, so this car comes with peace of mind knowing it’s been done!! I’ve have also put on new 17 inch DRC alloys that set the car off nicely, at the cost of £800 with tyres. On top of that it had a new clutch 2 years ago, a new radiator, a new exhaust, new rear brake disc and pads, and it’s just had new rear springs, and lots more little bits and bobs. So this car really is absolutely sound and there isn’t another one for sale on with the engine conversion done!
As this car was a project I’ve left the cosmetic things until last, so the bad bits are;* paint work is a bit tatty on the front bumper and has a scuff on the rear.*The car comes with 3 keys, and the fobs don’t work, and will need attention.*theres is some rust around the sunroof mechanism which needs addressing, but is in good working order!*the interior could do some attention, has a couple of scratches on the dash and the drivers seat has sign of wear.
Overall the bad bits are all cosmetic and most can be done by someone who is knowledgable about this sort of thing.
You might be wondering why am I selling this car after spending so much on it, and there is a good reason for that. I started a new job last year and it came with a company vehicle, so my Celica is stood all week and doesn’t get used, and it really doesn’t do it any good, also my stupid wife won’t use it and sell her car, so I have no choice but to let it go. I won’t accept silly offers on this, as this is a very reluctant sale, and who ever buys this is getting a fantastic car!
