Firstly this item has been relisted due to a time waster called samdidy123 who bid on the car then didnt even bother to come or answer any of my questions.TOTAL TIMEWASTER,BEWARE.
PLEASE READ THIS ADVERT FULLY,THE CAR NEEDS ATTENTION TO THE GEARBOX/AND OR CLUTCH
I recently bought this Rav4 in good faith for my wife and a few days into her owning it,its thrown a sicky.Im no mechanic but i think the clutch and possibly the gearbox has gone because it wont pull much at all when in gear and the gearstick will only move forwards and backwards in a straight line between 3rd and 4th gear which seems odd!??Im not sure if this is something to do with the linkage or the gearbox internals,if you assume it needs a gearbox you wont be dissapointed. Secondhand gearboxes are available on ebay from around £250 so if your handy with the spanners or you know someone who is you might get yourself a bargain here.Ive also had a quote from a mobile mechanic for £140 to fit a gearbox and can pass on details if needed. When repaired this car is worth upwards of £3000 and my reserve is nowhere near that.Engine wise,in the short time we have owned it,it seems ok.It starts fine and theres no nasty noises and no warning lights on.It seemed to drive quite well until the clutch/gearbox issueTo add insult to injury the car also chucked a piece of plastic trim from around the wheel arch off during the time when it was drivable which we have rerieved.This just clips on though so that at least should be a relatively simple fix but its scratched now. Ive listed the mileage as 110,000 but the speedo shows 70,000.There was a mileage discrepancy in 2013 where it lost around 45,000 miles,maybe a clock change im not sure.
Body wise the car is finished in a lovely Metallic Blue,its solid with no rust and no dents,but it does have the usual light scratches and the odd very light ding if you look at certain angles,theres a few very light scratches around the door handles caused by rings or maybe even knuckle dusters....something i would like to take to the person that i bought it off!
Interior wise the car is in fantastic condition with no noticeable wear to the seats or carpets.It has a working sliding power sunroof,cruise,CD player etc.All interior electrics seem to work including all 4 power windows. The alloys are in good condition and all the tyres have good tread.
Economical jeep returning around 40mpg.
Service wise theres not a lot to show apart from 4 early main dealer services and a £330 service in February of this year which included Engine oil/Oil filter/Air Filter/Fuel Filter/Cabin filter and a set of front and rear brake pads.
 The log book should arrive back before the end of the auction but i will give a sale receipt anyway then either forward it on when it arrives or you can apply for one yourself but bear in mind this costs £25 i think.I do have the green slip so that you can tax it.
 This will make a good CAR one for someone and could well be a bargain to someone who can get the labour done at a reasonable price. IT WILL NEED TRAILERING AWAY SO BEAR THAT IN MIND. IF YOU WANT TO COME AND TAKE A LOOK BEFORE THE AUCTION END FEEL FREE,I WOULD MUCH RATHER ANY POTENTIAL BUYERS DID INSPECT THEN THEY WONT BE DISSAPOINTED AND MIGHT KNOW IF THE GEARBOX ISNT AT FAULT AND MAYBE THE LINKAGE IS. NO TIMEWASTERS PLEASE,£100 DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL AND BALANCE ON CASH ON COLLECTION.IF YOU WANT TO SEND A COURIER I DONT MIND HELPING WITH LOADING IF YOU LIVE A DISTANCE AWAY PROVIDED CASH IS TRANSFERRED INTO MY BANK PRIOR TO IT BEING PICKED UP.
