For sale ismy Azure Blue Volvo S40 T4 road legal track car with a huge spec.
I boughtthis car last year ready prepared for track use from a forum member. It was a pure track car but Ihad the previous owner put an MOT on it for me to drive it home. Since then I have been saving for house so have done zero trackdays and lots of daily driving!! I have nowrealised that using it as a daily driver really isn’t for me (surprisesurprise). Being fully stripped out itis too raw for me to use daily and no track days are on the horizon either. So here it is for sale =(
Here is abasic spec:
· Phase 1.5 S40 T4 1855cc B4194T2engine (the strongest block). Built buy Tim Williams (T5D5.org)
· Forged conrods.
· Gasflowed head.
· RC650cc injectors.
· Gauges (AFR, Fuel Pressure, Boost,oil temp).
· Gaz Coilovers all round.
· Brand new Kinugawa 16G turbo making301bhp @ 1.2 bar. (plenty more to come left if mapped correctly).
· KSport 8 pot callipers, 330mm, pagidblue pads.
· Team dynamics Pro Race 1.2 alloys with Toyotyres.
· Modified fuel system with return line.
· New 340lph fuel pump and new WeberAdjustable FPR.
· 3’’ Stainless exhaust system withdecat.
· Front and rear strut brace and Hbrace on subframe.
· Water injection system – unfitted dueto intermittent problem with it killing my TPS. Can be refitted.
· HID headlights and fogs.
· Battery relocated to boot.
· Fully stripped and track ready - (approx1200kg).
· Oil Cooler. Run on Valvoline VR1 oil.
· Still has Air conditioning for thosesummer trackdays!!
There is more spec but I can’t remember it all.
This car hashad thousands spent and the only thing stopping it making far more power ismapping. The current boost setting is lowto stop the car running lean. The car still absolutely flys even at 1.2bar.
Bad points:
· The guy who maps these Volvos nowresides in Sweden. The current setup is very conservative for safety on the newturbo. 350bhp+ should be pretty easy on this turbo but it will need setting upusing a piggyback ECU as the topend is leaning out at higher boost. The engine is ready for whateverpower you can throw at it once mapping is sorted.
· Big injectors mean it takes a fewseconds to start when hot.
· Needs a new rear calliper.
· Not a daily driver unless you’renuts!
Cosmeticallythe car is very good with only a few minor marks and stone chipping to thebonnet and bumper.
In summary,this car is the ultimate Volvo sleeper. The power is awesome as are the brakes and handling.
I don’t havereceipts for the majority of the work but all work can be verified with the guywho did it and on Volvo forums. This is a well known car.
I havereceipts for the money I have spent in my ownership.
Previousowner is also a forum member and had the car for 10 years before turning itinto a track car.
The car is not available until 16th June as I am having a new windscreen fitted.
Whether youwant a dedicated track car or a weapon for the weekend, this is one of the bestout there.
