I have here a very reliable VW GOLF GT TDI. It has the acclaimed VAG 1.9 130BHP "PD" (ASZ) engine which are renowned for galactic mileages and reliability. It has a 6 speed manual gearbox.
It has covered 106k miles and since my ownership from 85k (March 2012) has never let me down. (It drives great!). Previous owner bought the car in March 2010 with a circa mileage of 79k - she just used it for the occasional school run and weekly shop).
It has a FSH with many receipts up to when I purchased it. (Full VW service history until warranty ran out). All subsequent work since my ownership has been completed by a family friend who runs his own garage business with over 40 years experience!.
The timing belt etc. was changed at 80k back in Sept 2010
The car is in very good condition with very few marks that should commensurate with a 12 year old car. It has MOT until March "16.
Some of the nice features with Golf GT TDI are: *  Air Con *  Electric Windows (All round)*  Electric seat adjust (Driver)*  Computer (Average MPG etc)*  Cruise Control
Not so good points:
The front passenger glove box assembly has just broken.. should be an easy fix for the mechanically minded (All parts are present - see pic)!
Overall this car has been marvellous to me with only obvious wear & tear items needing to be replaced like tyres, brake pads and discs etc and the very important regular Oil changes.
