Ultra rare 1.8 Driver 3dr. Was looking for months to find one. Here I’m selling my golf 1.8 driver.3dr in Red. The car has done 163066 miles with outstanding service history. The car has just ran out of MOT and I don’t have the time or money to sort out. Please read my honest description and you’re more than welcome to come and view by appointment only.  The car starts fine but not running 100%. The car has been diagnosed needing a new carb diaphragm and tuning. I replaced the wax stat as it was sticking. The car drives well, all through gears no problem. The clutch is a little high and might need replacing in the future. Doesn’t slip or anything.  I bought the car as a little project and didn’t have the time or money. The body work will need some attention. I would replace both front wings as the paint has cracked round arches. There is a small rust patch near the front bulkhead windscreen. Near side rear window and around the rear headlight again more rust. And rust round the driver’s door handle. It doesn’t sound as bad as I’ve described, however will need attention to make this car back to its glory days. The car has 15” BBS alloys (Not sure if they are original or not) All 4 wheels need refurbing various curbing and corrosion. The 2 rear tyres will need replacing with the front having around 3 - 4mm left. Twin Jtech exhaust, lowered adjustable coilovers (running very low) K&N air filter. Rear smoked lights, sunroof, cd player with USB and aux. Upgraded all round speakers. The interior is immaculate for age, I’ve not seen a better condition, no tears, rips, or stains. The drivers speaker is cracked, everything works as it should though, no lights or engine management lights apart from the battery light keeps flashing every now and then but had no problems. Has been through multiple garages with no clear diagnosis for this and even a new battery, yet the car still drives as though the light wasn’t illuminated. The air vent in the front is a little lose.
