With huge regret, I have to list my LHD 1977 Golf mk 1 D. I"m lead to believe this is one of the earliest diesel Golfs ever made, if not the earliest. I spoke to VW Classic about this car, and they said they had a 1976 prototype, but they didn"t start production until 1977. The car lived in the South of France all its life, and this can been seen as its totally rot free. It"s patina"d, arrow straight and unmolested.This has the 1500cc D, with cold start advance down on the column.It drives absolutely superb, and I will regret to see it go, but I just don"t ever use it, it just sits in my garage.Currently SORN, I will sell this car with a fresh MOT.Thanks for looking,James
