Now out of MOT (Expired august 2016) and selling as cost of repair too great for what the car is worth to me now. I needed a 5 door so it really wasn"t repairing the fault that is present.
The fault in question is that the brakes appear to be partly on all the time on at least one wheel which really doesn"t affect the driving very much but after a while it does start squeaking, which can"t be a good thing. Also the handbrake (possibly due to this) is rather weak making parking on really steep hills pretty tricky.
The engine however is perfectly fine and frankly this still feels nicer to drive than my Renault Scenic. The tyres on it are still only about a year old and have done about 2000-3000 miles.
There"s a lot of cosmetic wear as this was my first car and it took me a while to get to grips with not bumping into walls in it. For example. I owned it for three years but it had been in some accident before I got it as one headlight fitting is somewhat broken as is the bumper connection which is currently held very firmly in place with steel wire. It sounds like a lot more of a wreck than it actually is, it"s mostly cosmetic apart from the brakes issue.
Comes with an old radio installed which has cassette player. The receiver in this however is much much stronger than the one in my megane so I"m part tempted to put it in that as I don"t really listen to cds. But that"s waffle you didn"t need to know.
It"s got to go though so whatever it ends at, it"s gone for that.
