We are selling our Vauxhall Corsa due to an overheating problem. Coolant leaked in to the drivers footwell leading us to believe a hose may have split in the heating matrix. I can find no evidence of a leak elsewhere under the bonnet in any hoses or the radiator so my educated guess is as stated.
We"ve just spent £350 on general repairs to have the car MOT"d including a new tyre, new rear brake shoes, new brake pistons and new wiper blades, We"ve decided rather than spending more money and fixing the car to get something new.
In general it"s been an excellent car, we"ve owned it a year and it was my wife"s sisters" car for years before this. It"s covered around 6000 miles in the past year and has done everything from city driving to a drive to the Highlands of Scotland. It drives very well and is surprisingly comfortable for a small car too. Everything works in terms of electronics. The bodywork is a little scruffy in places with age related dents and scratches and the bonnet and bumper have been painted previously but not perfectly.
I"m sure this make a great runaround or money spinner for someone who has the means or enthusiasm to fix it but sadly the job isn"t for us.
