This is a lovely genuine VX220 in Rabiata Red one of the best colors. Its a naturally aspirated model and the last keeper has owned and cherished this for 9 Years.. The previous owner was of an old age, non- smoking pet free owner that has looked after this as his pride and joy. The car has been garage kept and not been driven much over the last few years as the owner would have wanted to due to health issues hence the sale!!
This amazing car instantly set the motoring world alight. Based extremely closely on the Lotus Elise series 2 the VX220 was fitted with a much more powerful and refined 2.2 16v, the VX220 had the power that the Elsie never had, transforming it into a stunning car, with better build quality than the Elise. The legendary handling of the Elise is retained and the performance from the 2.2 engine is amazing. The car is truly exhilarating to drive and has many times been described as the best handling car money can buy.
This car certainly lives up to all the above. It is such great fun to drive and is motoring at one of its purest forms. It does not get much better than empty country roads, roof off and sunshine. This car constantly makes you smile when you’re out in it, and you get no end of attention from the public when they see it. This is a damage free car
The car is Bright Red and in very good condition for its age, the Gel coat has no issues whatsoever and is in lovely condition, regularly polished and cleaned. The original wheels are also in good condition no curbing etc. and are the correct 17” rear and 16” front combination to give perfect handling as per original OEM design.
The roof comes off really quickly for when the suns out, and is totally water tight.
INTERIOR:
The inside of the car is in great condition with Full Black leather seats with lumber support and leather center console, Alloy passenger foot rest, short shift gear change and side storage pockets.
Everything works as it should do, heater, windows, switches all work fine. The roof fits well and is about as watertight as they get.
The car is designed for driving pleasure only and this is reinforced with the sports seats and momo sports steering wheel along with the low down seating position providing an exciting place to drive from.
The car is in overall great mechanical condition, the standard 150BHP 2.2 16V chain driven VX gives a nice spread of power and and good MPG and has been proven to be robust in all those astras and vectras that have done huge mileage It has flow through all its MOT’s and has been maintained to a very high standard, new radiator bottle done too.
You can be assured of hassle free, great fun motoring. The gearbox and engine are all in great condition and it runs and drives like a dream.
