Welcome to the sale of my beloved rare Mk3 Golf Gti 8v, bought her ( I called her Barbara) back in Nov 2014 and have been in love with her ever since. Bought her as a rolling project, replacing and restoring bits and too get her back to her former glory. Unfortunately new job and a new car has slowed this process down and now i have to part ways. Which is good for any of you guys interested. A great platform!! The sills are in mint and I mean mint condition, I took the sill covers off to see if they where rusty and they weren"t. Got pictures to prove it.
I said it is a rare Golf and it"s because it"s a non sunroof model!! If you know you"re Mk3"s these are rocking horse poo rare as they didn"t make many without sunroofs and in 3 doors. Making a perfect car for anyone who wants to use this as a concourse trailer queen, or restoration classic or even track day car.
Currently she has 145k on the clock, which isn"t a lot for a 20 old car, as you can see in the pictures she is a straight car, a couple of small stone chips/dents in the grille and some lacquer peel on the bonnet, tailgate and wind mirrors. But she apart from that her paintwork is in good nick.
She has had good service history, tons and tons of receipts and regular service to, only until recent years has no one kept it undated.

Bad bits Camber is out. Faulty abs sensors rearTop mounts are showing signs of wear but are fineRip in driver seat bolsterSlight lacquer peel on bonnet and tailgateAir leak in the central locking pump - so you need to manual lock each door. Stainless steel exhaust so it"s loud :) but makes sound lumpy Doesn"t Rev over 5k - hall sensor. But I don"t rag my cars so it never bothered me!! Rust around the bottom of the front arch, very common on mk3"s Golfs. The alloys are tatty, they are cheap to buy on eBay. Mot expires 27 Oct 16
Got the original rear lights and gear knob (currently an Eleven pool ball) included.
