For sale is my trusty and dependable 940. I got it in April 2015 just for a couple of months when my V70R had a broken engine and have found it very difficult to part with. I have completed 2 property renovations using old "Robert" and regularly travel London-Edinburgh with 100% reliability and supreme comfort, of course.
This is the last of the proper Volvo tanks. I imagine it will be fine for another 20 years and 200k if maintained properly. I will be sad to let it go, but the drive is getting untidy and I don"t use it anymore.
I trust this car completely, it has never let me down. It starts, runs, changes gear etc exactly as it should. The body is absolutely solid, only with a patch of rust by the windscreen and slight bubbling on one arch (photo attached).

I have taken great care of this car and during my ownership, I have done the following:
New discs and pads at 168,140 milesNew battery 19/1/16Fitted Manual Boost Controller to turbo May 15. This is set at a very sensible level, but I would guess makes the power more like the HPT model, maybe 160-170 bhp. As standard it was a bit sluggish on the motorway, but now it definitely isn"t.New water pump, rear exhaust box 15/9/17New catalytic converter 1/12/17Various water leaks - windscreen was leaking, some hoses were losing coolant, new coolant reservoir, thermostat - all sorted now and no coolant loss at allNew all weather Michelin Cross Climate tyres July 17. This car works in snow and was one of the only non Land Rovers running about Dunoon last winter in the heavy snowNew mats
Bad bits:headlamp washers are hit and miss. There"s a spare used motor in the boot that may sort the problem.Exhaust middle box is leaking. I think this is the only part I hadn"t replaced previously. Aircon doesn"t work. I"ve never investigated why.Few scuffs per pic - my other half learned to drive and passed his test in this car. Apparently "someone moved a concrete post" when he wasn"t lookingDriver"s heated Seat doesn"t work
£50 non refundable deposit to be paid by PayPal within 24 hours of winning auction. If no communication, I will then re-list. Cash on collection.
The car is currently in Dunoon, Scotland. I am happy to deliver it around the Glasgow area, or I am likely to be going to London again in the next week or two and could drop it off anywhere en route (M74, M6, M40, London).
