vehicle description:
Hi, you are looking at my Volvo V50 1.6D 2010 DRIVe SE
I have had the car for 2 1/2 years, and it"s been the best car I have ever owned!
The interior is in excellent condition. I have been the sole occupant, with no passengers for most of the miles. No rips or tears inside. Very little sign of wear on rear seats and passenger seat. Driver seat is in good condition too.
All the electronics work.
The previous owner had this car through the motability scheme, and all the servicing and extra stuff that needed doing was done by the main dealer (including things that probably weren"t necessary!)
Since owning the car, I have generally maintained the car myself and for the things that I can"t do, I have a mechanic friend who has done the brakes, disks, oils filters etc etc etc. I was expecting to keep this car forever and looked after as such, however my circumstances have changed and I am forced to sell the car. As I expected to keep the car I have been a bit lapse with the paperwork, and can"t find all of it...
Servicing has been done at its regular intervals throughout. The car has never really let me down.
It has a full mot & the vehicle tax is low.
As and when work has needed doing, it has been done.
From what I can remember:The DPF has been regenerated. The front brakes & disks are newI have both keysI had the ignition reprogrammedIt also has a spare wheel
The general condition of the outside is good, especially for a car with 100000 miles on the clock. There are a few small dints in the bodywork, but I do mean small. There are also a few little chips, they are also small. It"s not been pranged, and all the trim is in place and fastened correctly.
Some scumbag dragged a key down the passenger side not so long ago and it has done bit more than can be repaired with T-cut and elbow grease.I"ve worked the scratches down with T-Cut by hand, but they are still apparent. They don"t jump out at you, but they are there. I have tried to illustrate in pictures. It"s mainly the front passenger door, rear passenger door and the boot. It really narks me as to why someone would do that. However, as I get in from the drivers side I never see it so I am spared the constant reminder! The air-con isn"t cooling, but I haven"t been bothered seeing to it as I"ve not needed cooling since it stopped last autumn!
The MOT is until March 13, 2017 and it went straight through the MOT with no fails. There is an advisory.
It"s done just over 100,000 miles, and I have done 65000 of them since I bought the car.
It always starts first time, and has never let me down.
It has been used primary for commuting, and the miles are mostly busy motorway miles!
It"s a really comfortable car, and despite being only a 1.6 Diesel it really has plenty of umph for when you need it. Even with a full load of wife, kids and luggage, it never feels underpowered.
For MPG, I have had motorway runs with an average of 60 MPG, but generally with normal driving on my commute I would attain 50 MPG, so economical to run.
The space and size of the Volvo V50 is amazing! A couple of years ago we did a 20 day road trip across Europe, we had some days driving for 12 hours, the car remained comfortable and I never dreaded getting behind the wheel. We were 4 in the car, including luggage and 12v cooler, (no roof box) and it never felt cramped!
I bought it for commuting and the occasional time I needed to move some larger items (which was very rare but necessary) and it sometimes got used to pick the kids up etc, (but not so much).
The boot space when the rear seats are down is big!
In terms of payment, when you win you are bidding to buy and pay, not to come and kick tyres, please no time wasters!
You are welcome to come and inspect the car before bidding closes.
It really has been the best car I"ve ever owned and I"m sorry to see it go.
