Bmw 318ci E46 Convertible
We brought this car Last year to enjoy in the summer sun. Unfortunately when we got it the engine suffered a bottom end knock and was beyond repair. So because it was so hard to find a black car with black leather we decided to take the plunge and upgrade the engine.
We found a guy in Ipswich who specialises in fitting 2.5 straight six engines into these cars. So it now has a 2.5 straight six. With this it had new clutch fitted at the time also. The engine was a reconditioned unit it was fully serviced with belts, plugs and all fluids changed. Recently has had a new power steering pump. It is fitted with coilover suspension so could go a lot lower but seems we have a young family this ride height is fine for us
We really will be sad to see this car go. It has had a lot of money invested in it with the engine change. So many of the 4 cylinders have issues that we just didn"t realise. The straight six was a great choice it"s economical and has a lovely sound. New car forces sale.
