For Auction; Pininfarina-bodied Lancia 2000 front wheel drive Coupe. These great GT cars were some of the last to be produced as the independent Lancia company was taken over by FIAT and were popular with professional people who wanted style and elegance in their day to day motoring. The flat four motor with chain drive cams and a five speed box was a reliable partner for long distance touring too. Some of the pictures in the advert were taken by me in Italy and in Holland so the car lives up to its GT heritage. Even today the large boot space demands to be filled with luggage and the car is easily capable of keeping up with modern traffic. With disc brakes all around and power steering the car remains at home on today’s roads in UK or further afield.
This particular car has been the subject of much work over the 6 years l have owned it and has benefitted from much new metal underneath including replacement sills. It had paint in Naples Italy a few years ago and was fully serviced last year by a Dutch specialist with bills to prove a significant amount of mechanical and suspension work which has added to the utility of the car. New tyres all around on the original alloy wheels.
This car was originally built in Turin, the Pininfarina build plate is still in the engine bay, and sold into Belgium being registered there in February 1975. I am the first UK keeper. Over the years I have spent a considerable amount on getting it mechanically sorted. It could still do with cosmetic improvement but everything works apart from the period radio which does not receive FM! The interior has just been retrimmed to a high standard and included matching the original tan seat leather which was an expensive optional extra at the time. This is the standard car with a Weber carb fitted and not the fragile HF type fuel injection system.
The displayed mileage of 42000 kilometres cannot be confirmed. Viewing is advised so by all means use the message system.
